Teaching Sanskrit -- Managing Complexity

Try teaching a language where the nouns take three genders, eight cases, three numbers and follow 40 different paradigms. Then add verbs in 10 classes, with three persons, three numbers and six tenses (that's just the common ones). Then add a non-roman script and some fiendish pronunciation. Then add students in Portugal, Dubai, India and China to the students sitting in class in Baldessin. Then try to make it fun, and on a good day, possibly even somewhat joyous. Over the years, especially with the help of Grazia Scotellaro, I have developed some innovative materials, methods and solutions to manage this complexity. I am keen to share these with you.
